COLORS OF DREAMS

         Welcome  :) 
     
      Dreams are my motivation which I pursue them so closely. I like to dream and strive to make them come true …

         Since my childhood, I’ve had a dream to have friends from different countries so I can have the opportunity to learn so many things about their culture and point of view about life. I appreciate this dream so much that I made friends from 48 countries till now (wrote down all countries on my notebook). 

        My hometown is Izmir, the western city of Turkey. During university years, I lived in Istanbul. Yet, my most exciting decision was to live in U.S.A. I lived in Virginia from 2007 to 2010. Currently, I live in Izmir and I love to travel. Therefore, I and my partner try to save money as much as we can so we can see the new cities, new countries… We read travel articles and blogs and watch Travel Channel and everything about travel whenever we have free time as two amateurs, just for fun.  That’s why, I wanted to give a start to my blog with this title “Colors of Dreams”  :) 

      Colors have also a very special meaning in my life.  Colored pencils and pastels have been my favorite toys since my childhood. Whenever I was happy or sad, colors help me to dream deeper and motivate me to achieve in my life. I and my family had many hardship days when we learned first that my sister has diabetes and my dad has Parkinson. Yet, we must be so strong and everyone in life struggles with problems. Life is full with up and downs. Thus, I preferred as much as colorful things and draw good dreams. Yet, there was a very faithful moment for me that I had the chance to meet my first art teacher in my life Aydın Can who motivated me to attend local, national and international art competitions. Thanks to my teacher, mom, dad, sister and grandparents’ motivations, I had the chance to achieve in many competitions. Today, I have total of 87 awards from art competitions in memory of those days. Since my childhood, I am addicted to art and I believe in that my interest to art will never end.

         In short, I wanted to open this blog to combine two things ART and TRAVEL. Therefore, I will try to share everything from museums, workshops to street art whatever gives me the inspiration with a filled information. Yet, I want this place  interactive. I want to learn what I’ve missed in those places. So please share your ideas, suggestions and dreams. I would like to appreciate them.
